I sent out a MySpace bulletin after realizing it is going to be impossible for me to thank everybody I care about personally… which was both a crappy and an awesome realization at the same time. For those who read my blog, this probably applies to you too, so I thought I would let a little love out into the blogosphere this Holiday season.
I realized something this Christmas… I spent an hour sending out personal email messages to friends and family and quickly realized that it isn’t going to be possible. I wish I had the time to personally thank each one of you people for being in my life, and I wanted to tell you a personal message that would be heartfelt, something that YOU would remember. I probably sent out about 10 (only to my brothers and closest circle of friends) when I realized something that made me feel really good. I have been blessed to be surrounded with enough people that I truly care about that I can’t even manage the list of you guys. That is something I appreciate about life, and I am lucky to have you as a part of my life.
There are 3 types of people on my friend list on MySpace, and you’ll know who you are immediately upon reading this.
Family: I love you guys so much. Thank you for always loving me through the thick and thin, and now that life has matured for each of us and the teenage angst / drama looks so small, it seems like we have nothing but positive to surround ourselves with. I love you, and so does my daughter. I am better because of you.
Friends: You guys where there since I was a broke ass with something to prove, and I love and appreciate that you always had my back. You laughed so hard with me, so many times, and those good times are in my heart forever. I hope they stay in yours too.
Future Colleagues / SEO Social Network Peoples / Business Buddies: Here’s to one day moving out of this section and into the “friends” section. I only use my profile to network with people I truly know and care about, or truly respect. If you and I don’t know each other that well, at least you know that I respect you immensely. (tho now that I am single I might end up using this profile to scope girls too… but I digress) – thank you for the learning, the opportunity, and for welcoming me into your community.
Other: Ok, this is basically for Jon Madden, Vanilla Ice, Tila Tequila, Ron Mexico, and various other people in my profile who belong in this category. Screw you for not returning my phone calls and / or letters with pictures of me in provocative clothing. If you weren’t so friggin rad, I would delete you in a heartbeat.
To Everybody: Merry Christmas and thank you for letting me be a part of your life. I hope that I can do some good for you in return, and I look forward to those opportunities.
