I think the drinkbait thing is funnier and more appropriate for the target audience you are trying to get involved, so even if “hat bait” was her own idea, it was still not as interesting as yours.

Don’t get too down about it, but surely take the lesson from it- don’t share your ideas with people so easily until AFTER you put them into action.

Way different… was just pointing out the concept wasn’t new… though your spin on it certainly was.

I think one major difference to note about this situation however, is that I didn’t know about either of those campaigns. To me the idea and thought was original. And now that I know, I will pay respects. My situation was one where I laid out the whole plan and idea to a friend who then turned around and used it.
