Andrew Gerhart (agerhart) from Primedia Automotive and a mod at WebMasterWorld just pointed out that I was exposing email addresses on my blog.

Lame! It was one of my favorite WP plugs- MyAvatars.

The good thing is it took me about 10 seconds to fix. Just follow these steps to fix yours:

  • Open myavatars.php (in your plugins folder)
  • Navigate to line 29
  • Replace
    $href=”mailto:” mce_href=”mailto:” . $comment->comment_author_email;
    with
    $href=”";
  • Upload.
